Some results of studies on leaching of toxic elements in Asgat polymetallic concentrate

Extended ICP-OES and AAS analysis of floated polysulphide concentrate from the Asgat polymetallic ore revealed that contains 0.91% silver, 18.2% copper, 19.4% antimony, 2.03% arsenic 1.6% bismuth together with other elements. The prevailing minerals in are tetrahedrite, bismuthinite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite pyrite non-ore i.e. siderite, muscovite quartz. content above was estimated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis. An optimum condition for antimony leaching tetrahedrite alkaline-sulphide solution studied comprehensively. In optimized condition, 99.25% Sb, 89.0% As 44.50% Bi were dissolved into solution, successfully. solid residue sulphide as well chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), covellite (CuS), chalcocite (Cu2S), (FeS) argentite (Ag2S).
